BC $100 Climate Action Dividend for all adults and children

The Climate Action Dividend is available to EVERY adult and child who was a resident of British Columbia on December 31, 2007. This includes $100 to parents for each child who was under 18 years of age at the end of 2007.

Starting in late June 2008, the dividend will be mailed automatically to every eligible adult who has filed either a 2006 or 2007 personal income tax return for British Columbia. Parents who receive the Canada Child Tax Benefit will also receive a $100 payment for each child.

While the easiest and quickest way to receive the dividend payment is to file a 2006 or 2007 BC income tax return, there is also an option to file an application through the Ministry of Small Business and Revenue. The form is available online.
