Box 85 My T4 Box finally a reality...

T4 forms arrived today by mail
NEW CODE Box
85 - Extended Health and Dental Premiums paid
by
employees - your employer can now report those
premiums
so you can claim the medical expense on
your tax return!!!!
(blame me for this one)
November 23, 2025 - EI premiums reduce to
$1.80(2007) from
$1.87(2006) per $100 (nothing about
disability/medical)

October 31, 2025 Seniors will be able to split
pensions in
2007, age credit increased $1,000 to
$5,066 for 2006 in
additional to earlier increase
in pension credit to $2,000
per person.

REVISED Information for
People with Disabilities
Guide RC4064, released in December
2005 along with
a new form T2201.
Warning, the
comprehensive list of medical expenses does
not
include certification or documentation requirements.
For that, you need the Income Tax Act.

CRA is working on a table that
explains medical expenses
for release in 2007, but
no one knows when...this is a huge
job!! Anyone who
has attended one of my seminars knows
that there
are significant criteria to explain how to
actually
make a successfuly claim for medical expenses.
