I'm sharing one of the unsolicited emails I received during this four week series. This series on Internal Controls for Bookkeepers, hosted by IPBC in Nov/Dec 2013, struck a chord I hadn't expected. I'm grateful and humbled by the response.
Here's what Heather had to say.
"Hi Eileen – I am just going thru 3rd Webinar and you are in the Canadian Business Network and the regulations for exporting, etc etc. ...And bookkeepers are expected to only charge $30/hour or less??? With all the responsibilities we really have to our clients and to protect ourselves? It’s a wonder we aren’t required to have a university degree to designate us as bookkeepers – lol.
I am really enjoying this and learnings lots from you as to where to look and watch for – some I knew already but you have gone into it much deeper than I expected. Also more conscious now about regulations that are different between federal, provincial, municipals etc – just mind boggling.
Sometimes I feel that I could be spending more time on looking these up than on actual clients work. I’m sure others watching your webinars are feeling the same way. I wanted to say Great Work and looking forward to other webinars you may have coming up."
