QuickBooks won't open? Using AVG?

This afternoon at 2 pm AVG updated. QuickBooks wouldn't open and told me there was a Trojan.... it's apparently a false message.
To see how I fixed it with the help of my tech guy after checking with Intuit support just before 5 pm when they all went home...and it worked...
