In this latest round of training for group lodging we even included a pet friendly scenario in our group lodging exercise. I'm all for that, and so is my dog.

Those were the words my grandpa used to describe what it felt like to watch his home and his cart full of furniture go up in flames in 1917 in Southern Russia as those soldiers searched for him and grandma and my uncle hidden in the reeds in the ditch. We all have our stories of how family survived tough times. Take strength from those stories and make sure you are prepared should those tough times hit close to home.
