Nowadays, nursing homes and retirement facilities usually provide various care options in a single setting.

A client recently contacted me and explained that she had moved her Mom from the retirement section of a nursing home into full time nursing care midway through the year.

This move has tax implications. I explained that she’ll have to do some ‘what-if’ calculations and she may not be able to claim the disability credit.
